Reece is a super problem solver- he completed 5 jigsaws and was eager to try a sixth one! Our daily play sessions offer the children personalisation to lead their learning in ways that they find interesting.

Sorting!

Primary 2 have been noticing lots of seasonal changes happening outside- especially the number of leaves which have fallen off the trees in the grassy pitch. We worked with a partner to collect as many as we could!

THEN we sorted the leaves using our own criteria- some of the children sorted by size, others by shape and some by colour! We talked about how important sorting was, and that it is a skill we will use throughout our lives!

Later on, Holly applied her learning by sorting our name stones by colour. Now they are easy to see and find!

P2 collected information on eye colour today. We asked appropriate questions to do this and recorded our findings using tally marks. We created a pictograph to display our findings and then we had a go at making a Venn diagram.

Primary 2 have been very busy this week practising their adding. This morning we worked around 4 activities which helped us add, count, form and order our numbers!

P2 love learning through play! During our play session this morning, Charlie and Reece designed a kingdom using sticklebricks with lots of cool features!
