Magic E

Our new phonics sound this week is Magic E (a_e, i_e). The boys and girls have been busy reading and writing different words which include their new sound. It's been a tricky one to learn, so we've been doing lots of practise!

Measuring

P2 have been measuring during our Big Maths sessions this term. We looked for objects that were longer and shorter than a metre stick. We found lots that were shorter, but not many that were longer!

Fireworks Night!

We designed fireworks pictures using black paper, paint,straws and glitter. I'm sure you will agree, the pictures are bright, eye catching and sparkly!

Poppy making

We designed poppies for our Remembrance Day wreath.

Our new topic this term is 'The Body and our Senses'. After reading the story 'Funny Bones' and exploring the different parts of our skeleton, we went outside to the playground to draw our own skeletons using white chalk.
